Ava and Sam’s Optus Stadium wedding was an absolute pleasure to be a part of. From an amazing venue to a couple that couldn’t wipe the smile off their faces, their wedding day had it all.
Ava and Sam’s Optus Stadium wedding started with a ceremony at the Civic Centre Grounds in Cottesloe. The beautiful stonework of the stage was the perfect backdrop for their heartfelt ceremony. It was beautifully styled with florals in a neutral colour palette.
Usually the bride is the one who makes a grand entrance, but Sam surprised their guests first with dancing and bubbles down the aisle with his parents. It’s little things like this that can really set the tone of the day. There was barely a dry eye when Ava was walked down the aisle looking absolutely stunning in her Dion For Brides gown. It’s great when couples keep traditional elements of weddings but modernise them. It was a special moment when Ava was walked down the aisle by both her parents by her side. Instead of ‘giving her away’, it was a show of the love and respect that she has for them.
Their ceremony, officiated by David Marshall, was filled with love and a few tears. You could see that Ava and Sam were absolutely meant to be between the huge smiles and happy tears.
After some portraits around the grounds and the Cottesloe War Memorial Town Hall, it was off to their Optus Stadium wedding. What a venue!! We were lucky enough to be able to go into the stadium and get some wedding portraits! It was definitely an experience, and although we felt small in this huge stadium, Ava and Sam’s love and energy filled it pretty quickly.
Their Optus Stadium wedding reception looked incredible with white blooms lining the linen, the incredible view of Perth and let’s not forget the classic donut wall and cake.
With yet another little surprise for their guests, Ava ditched her Georgie’s Bridal heels for a pair of Adidas sneakers, and their first dance was like no other. We thought Sam had some moves at the ceremony! The two of them together knocked it out of the stadium! Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, some of their guests joined in the dance as well.
Needless to say, the dance floor was well and truly open and occupied after this! Ava, Sam and their guests danced the rest of the night away whilst taking in the breathtaking view of Perth at their Optus Stadium wedding. It’s weddings like this – beautifully styled, full of love, surprises and lots of laughter – that really leave a mark on you.
Thanks so much for having us Ava and Sam! It was such a pleasure seeing the love you have for each other and your families.
